Coopers Original Lager reviewed by George

posted on April 6, 2010 in Beer Recipe Reviews

Third time I’ve made this kit. Brewed
on 14 Feb 2010: in about 5 litres of
water, steeped 113 grams of 10L crystal.
Brought to boil, added 14 grams
Hallertau for 20 minutes, then another
14 grams for 2 minutes. Added kit and
Coopers BE2, when cooled, added Saflager
S23. OG was 1.052 in 23 litres.
Fermented at 14C. Just opened the first
today, April 6. Still needs some more
time to condition but I am well pleased
with the result. Nice color, moutfeel &
bitterness. Would do again, maybe with
Saaz. – Rating:4/5
