Brewcraft Bavarian Wheat reviewed by MickB

posted on January 13, 2009 in Beer Recipe Reviews

Finally I have had success homebrewing a
German Wheat beer in the
Erdinger/Paulaner style.

Brewed with this kit, the Brewcraft
German Wheat converter sugars pack and a
SAF Brew WB-06 Wheat Beer Yeast and keep
it nice and stable at 20oC. Bottled it
with Coopers sugar drops and put it down
for 1 month.

Drinking beautifully, with trademark
fluffy head, slight cloudiness and
definite distinctive German wheat beer
aromas and taste.

Have tried the same with a few kits
including Blackrock and Muntons,
admittedly without the SAF WB yeast, but
it has not even come close to this
effort with only minimal
aromas/flavours, weak head and going
very clear.

Will definitely be trying the same
again. – Rating:5/5
