Coopers Sparkling Ale reviewed by stef

posted on June 12, 2008 in Beer Recipe Reviews

my 2nd brew after a 10 yrs break, 1 can
Coopers SPA, 500g LME, 250g dextrose,
SafAle yeast, 20g Saaz steeped for
10mins then into mix, filled to 23L.
Only aferwards did my brain click that
this will be quote weak, I forgot the
extra 1kg of LME!! Brewed at 18-20C for
7 days, bulk primied with 190g castor
sugar then bottled. After 2 weeks, it
tasted watery, lacked body, but pleasant
saaz taste, after 2months it has
mellowed and become more balanced – as
easy drinker. Shame about the yeast
sediment. – Rating:3/5
